a collage series
the in-between. the space that connects what was to what is coming. sacred, transitional, uncomfortable. the place where the old falls away before the new has arrived. i've been living here.
analog collage is an act of surrender. you're working under limitations and finding connection between things that were never meant to be together. the fewer the pieces, the more intentional every choice has to be. for this series i let the space do the work and let the pairings speak.
each piece is paired with a card from the minor arcana, counted from what's in the frame. four candles, four of wands.

three of these pieces (5, 6 and 10) came from watching Mary Lattimore play harp at Big Ears in front of a black backdrop with moving florals. a harp is a portal. it takes you somewhere whether you're ready or not.
